A Better Version Of Yourself

…History Despite Its Wrenching Pain Cannot Be Unlived But If Faced With Courage Need Not Be Lived Again… #ChangeYourOwnLife

The ideal verses the reality is a topic that has been on my heart recently and I believe that we have to stop fanaticizing about our ideals or dreams that we have created in our own heads when it comes to the relationships and things that surround us. Its like the saying the “good old days”, well when we really stop to think about that we have to admit that even those days had its fair share of issues as well. What the past few weeks have taught me in my life personally is that on the road to becoming the best version of myself I cannot allow what I desire to run ahead of my present moment. I cannot be controlled of by hope nor can I be contained by my fear. Reality makes it simple my past not have been filled with roses like I made it out to be in my head but I cant let the fear of embracing what it really was stop me from learning the lessons that I need in order to equip myself for the future. Growth is a painful process and many times people around you who are stuck become collateral damage because they cant see the vision that you are on to preparing yourself for your moment but you cant let their personal feeling effect what you know to do for sure to help save yourself. Obedience is the key to any success and joy that you are seeking in order to fulfill and sustain your own life.  You have to be obedient to whatever God is saying to you. You cant get caught up in all the outside noise and distractions. Stick to the plan and know that it will be painful as hell but when you face it you will gain the courage you need and that will stop you from repeating it again. Your Joy is found when you find God and enjoy him forever and the plan that he has for your life. Keep it moving. God’s got your back.

2014: Choose Joy

The older I get and the more I experience on each journey and path that life throws at me the more I found out that nothing in the physical can ever be counted on. Life happens. People’s feeling change, death happens, the unexpected comes from around the corner and blindsides you and the path of hell is paved with good intentions. In my experience the only thing that is for sure is prayer- taking time to talk to Jesus Christ about everything that is going on in your life is the only thing that is certain. Prayer is praising God for all that he is and has done, prayer is releasing yourself in order to surrender to whatever God’s will is for your life in that particular moment. Prayer is declaring and prophesying to yourself that all is well with your own soul. Prayer is stability, an anchor and a guide to assist you along life’s many journeys. When people say what do you know for sure my answer is that prayer takes you to a divine place of peace. Recently I have switched my mindset from looking for happiness to creating a new normal of living in Joy. Happiness are glimpses of moments in life that are pleasing but joy is a state of being that you are satisfied with whatever comes your way. If we are looking on counting on happiness we will continue to be unstable and ride a rollercoaster of emotions that only trivialize the purity of what life is about and that is enjoying God now and forever. And I would submit to you the only way to accomplish that is through deep and personal prayer. Prayer doesn’t have to be fancy lofty words; prayer can simple be God Help Me Now. As we embark upon this New Year I know we all have resolutions and goals that we would like to see happen: loosing weight, having better relationships, stopping a bad habit or improving your career. While all of these things are good and notable let us not forget our spiritual health. Everything in life changes, you know this, from family relationships, friendships, lovers, your health and even your church but God never changes he is always ready to engage you in conversation. So stay prayed up because that is what will get you through the worse days of your life and will also help you to fully appreciate the best days of your life.
Happy New Year And God Bless

Prayer

As sinners we have all lived a lie and convinced ourselves that we don’t need God. We have convinced ourselves that we can control our lives and that the beliefs we hold will save us. In reality the only thing that will save us in the end in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Regardless of how “good” or “bad” you are if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ then he will inherit your soul upon your day of departure from this world into the next. What a joy it is and a comfort to know that Jesus Christ will keep you forever in the end. I am grateful unto God for hearing my prayers and for saving my soul from full condemnation and totally suffering. I am grateful that he hears me and listens to me. I am grateful that he understands me and that he loves me and that he wants the best for me even when I don’t take all the actions to do the best for myself. I haven’t always and in everything been obedient in my actions in following Jesus but one thing I know for sure is that God is always listening and enjoys conversations with me in prayer. If someone asked me what I know for sure about life and that is God will communicate with you in prayer and give you peace of mind in prayer…. O how wonderful is our savior Jesus Christ… Amen

You Were Promised

(Acts 16:31 NIV) They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

A lot of times in our lives we see our family members go through a season of hardships and it makes us sad to see them not being all who God has created for them to be. It gets frustrating when tradegy shows up in your own backyard. When it comes to our friends we hurt for them and will help them and want the best for them as well but its something different that we recognize when hardache and sin creeps into the life of one of our own. I am in a season like this right now where I am watching a famly member be crushed under the horrible weight of demonic attack. I confess to you that I don’t know how to get this person out of their valley, I confess to you that I am sad for them and I confess to you that I don’t know the out come but here is the thing I believe in Jesus Christ and I know he hears my prayers. All of us will have that family member that worries our souls but we must also rely on the one who created their soul to deliver them from darkness. So stand on God’s word and believe because there is always a rainbow after the rain. God Bless You

Is My LIving In Vain

Sometimes the pain we go through is like being tortured alive. The grief, the pain and the agony that we experience bring us to our knees. Sometimes it feels like our souls have been abandoned and that our prayers aren’t heard. Have you ever looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize yourself. You have become a stranger to who you really are because the pain is eating you alive. In these moments we must really rely upon God to change everything and to lead us on the right path for his name sake. Its ok to fall just don’t crumble. God has your back.
